Porter Property Open Space 12 Lot Subdivision was granted conditional
approval by the planning board. HBLA provided site planning and site
design services for the first subdivision in Sandown to fall under their
Open Space Development Ordinance. This 54 acre parcel dedicates 34 acres
to conservation and includes restrictive covenants specifically drafted
to help protect the environment.
Construction for Merrimack Valley Hospice is well under way. For
this project HBLA Inc. designed an 80’ x 80’, four season
interior courtyard including pond and waterfall. HBLA introduced and
coordinated for the client the donation of labor for the construction
of the pond.
St. Joseph Hospital opened its new Restorative Oncology Garden designed
by HBLA Inc. HBLA provided design and construction observation services.
HBLA was engaged to design a 2,200 square foot interior courtyard
for Epoch Senior Living and their new building addition for dementia.
Atria Senior Living engaged HBLA Inc. to assist with the planning
and design of their new 100 unit, assisted living facility located on
Jones Pond. This project includes the planning and design of a 15 acre,
deed restricted, conservation area which will be available to the general
public.
HBLA was engaged to provide site design for Wise Living at Woods
Hole, a 40 unit, independent senior living project. This project required
a sensitive site design in order to incorporate the first geodesic dome
designed by Buckminster Fuller in the early 1950’s.
Sawyer Park site is graded and competition sports fields are being
sodded. This 2 million dollar community park was designed, permitted
and constructed in just three months.
The permit set for Sawyer Field a competition softball field associated
with Sawyer Park has been submitted to the State.
Planning Board approves Westin Hotel and Conference Center with HBLA
streetscape improvements including the custom Paver-Grate detail for
all street trees.
Construction completed for the new Hilton Hotel and Harbour Hill
condominiums including Portsmouth’s first Paver-Grate urban tree
planting system. HBLA developed a custom tree planting detail that allows
Portsmouth’s standard brick sidewalk to come right up to tree trunk
maintaining City sidewalk clearance requirements - destined to become
a City standard.
Construction drawings released for dementia garden and site work
associated with Pond Ridge, a Continuous Care Retirement Community.
HBLA takes first ever office surfing retreat to take in the culture,
landscape, and warm waters of Costa Rica.
The New Hampshire Chapter of the American Institute of Architects
awards HBLA its highest honor, the People’s Choice Award for Excellence
for Lakeside Manor. HBLA designed the master plan for the estate and
the award committee noted how well the grand mansion blended with its
surroundings. Recently, the current French Prime Minister vacationed
at the estate.
HBLA issued construction documents for the new Hilton / Harbour Hill downtown
project including streetscape public improvements.
HBLA began construction documentation for Villa Como, a riverfront
estate.
Planning board approval drawings were issued by HBLA for High Rock
Village, a 150 unit independent senior living housing project.
Rivermouth, blue skies, overhead, offshore and only three people
out. A day to remember.
Construction began on Good Shepherd’s multi-million dollar healthcare
campus, central park and new ambulatory care center. Designed by
HBLA the project now enters into the construction administration phase.
HBLA began work on Anchor Health Properties new medical office and
rehabilitation facility.
HBLA began site planning and design of Mead Farm, a country estate.
